Thank you Shabi and Gianfranco. It has been a wonderful experience. As a professional in the sector I have to tell you that these days we have shared together have been stratospheric. From the meals, which have not disappointed at all, but have been spectacular. The visit of the winery with the tasting and dinner al fresco, without words. Going to visit Mimi on his farm, picking the vegetables, cooking with them, the Trapanese pesto, delicious, sharing a table, laughing conversations and quality time. Traveling with Pacheco, a piano virtuoso, magnificent person who made me cry with his art, the concert…the visit to the jazz school. without words Eternal gratitude. The whole team was impressive, the driver, took us delicately through the circulatory “chaos” of Palermo 🙂 and with a great attitude. Cris gave us very specific explanations full of gratitude, professionalism and wisdom.

The Sicily Experience was absolutely incredible, and now it’s one of my favorite memories with my family. It all started with our wonderful and knowledgable tour guide, Chris, who guided us through a walking food tour of Catania on our first night. The food (throughout the trip) was PHENOMENAL!!! We made our way through Taormina, the villages surrounding Mt. Etna, Ortigia, Cefalu, and Palermo. At each stop of the journey, we learned about the cultural history of the respective city. Highlights include olive oil tastings, a vineyard tour and wine tasting, enjoying beautiful blue-water beaches, donkey rides, historic churches and architecture, and a boat ride to Isola Bella. Chris was invaluable to our experience and he was gracious and well-informed about each of the cities we visited. I’m so happy we chose The Sicily Experience!! We covered a lot of ground and it felt like the perfect length of time. Thank you for everything!

I’ve been on group tours in Japan, Patagonia, Spain, & several in the USA. But the trip to Sicily was the most perfect & the most fun. The venues, the guides, the itinerary—were simply fantastic. The music, wine & food—absolutely sublime. I’d go again—same trip—in a heartbeat! There are not enough stars in Google’s galaxy to rate this Sicily experience highly enough!! So just go!

We recently returned from an unforgettable journey with The Sicily Experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Our group of friends embarked on a beautifully curated tour through Western Sicily, visiting Palermo, Cefalù with its beautiful sunsets, the awe-inspiring Greek temples in Segesta, the foggy hilltop town with the castle at Erice and the charming coastal town of Castellammare del Golfo. Every stop was filled with breathtaking views, rich history, and authentic Sicilian culture.

The highlight of our trip was an incredible evening at a local winery, where we indulged in delicious wines paired with a gourmet dinner surrounded by stunning vineyards. The real magic unfolded when we spent a day with a local farmer, creating fresh pesto from scratch and taking part in a cooking class using his wood-fired oven. The ingredients, which we had picked just moments earlier from his farm, couldn’t have been fresher, making the experience both intimate and unforgettable. The experience felt incredibly authentic, as if we had been welcomed into the heart of Sicilian family life.

We didn’t just visit tourist destinations; we truly experienced Sicily. We fell in love with the island, its people, and its flavors, and we’re already planning to return next year to explore Eastern Sicily with the same team.

What an unforgettable time!! The Sicily Experience was absolutely incredible, and now it’s one of my favorite memories with my family. We recently had the pleasure of booking a  a 3-day experience of Sicily’s Catania and Taormina through “The Sicily Experience”. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this part of our trip was going to be exceptional. Gianfranco and Shabi, who both have an incredible knowledge of the island, offered us a comprehensive package and experience that will forever be a treasured memory for our family. Catania, especially the tour of Mount Etna, was nothing short of spectacular. The surreal volcanic landscapes were out of this world! After exploring Etna we were taken to a wine tasting and lunch at a small family-owned vineyard/farm-to-table restaurant. A place hidden away far from the crowds where the waiter’s Nonna was probably sitting on a chair in the kitchen supervising all the cooking. It was AMAZING!!! Taormina was also stunning! Gianfranco and Shabi’s local expertise here too was impressive. They offered us recommendations that only true insiders know. We were led to the best authentic local restaurants and gelaterias. They were great at helping us navigate the town’s busy spots. They knew exactly when and where to go to avoid the crowds and long waits to ensure our experience was always enjoyable and that we made the most of our short time there. Additionally, when our plans needed to change, they were able to quickly offer us fantastic alternatives. The transportation booked for us by “The Sicily Experience” was also excellent. They were always on time, with drivers who were not only friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about the areas we visited. It made the transportation logistics of the entire trip seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend “The Sicily Experience” to anyone looking to explore Sicily. We will definitely be booking with them again in the future. Grazie!

The Sicily Experience went beyond our expectations with their local expert guides who guided us through our excursions in Palermo, Segesta, Erice and Masala sharing insights along the way that made the excursion intriguing…along with our expert driver Pietro who went above and beyond his driving duties! He was courteous and friendly, he guided us thru the ins and outs of each excursion and shared with us his local expertise on the local sites and food. We got to taste the local street food in Palermo…rice balls, croquettes, octopus and paneli (chickpea fritters) …just to name a few things that gave us a taste of the local foods. I know European vacations can be stressful to plan with all the details and moving parts, The Sicily Experience just put us at ease and allowed us to just sit back and enjoy each day….we truly got the Sicilian experience we were looking for!
